Throughout this time of preparation for the move, I have heard several comments admiring us for giving up our life here in the States and moving to Haiti. I have also heard people say they wished they had the courage or the ability to do what Suzan and I are doing. I want to encourage everyone who is reading these blogs to know that everyone of us are a part of this team. If you have been crazy enough to follow our blogs, then you have become a part of this mission to Haiti. If you are partnering with us financially, then you have placed your trust in us to use resources wisely in order to do the most possible. If you are praying for us, then you have placed your faith in the God who is over all of this to ask His guidance upon us. We are all on this team together.
Last night, the Miami Heat won the NBA Finals and that accomplishment was not the feat of just five players on the court. There were a countless number of people in the background who share in the victory. Without the managers, coaches, family members, staff members, etc., the Heat would not have been in the position to win the playoffs. The same is to be said with Suzan and I. We cannot go to Haiti and do the work on our own will. It takes those here to encourage, support financially, and lift us up in prayer. There are many on this team serving in Haiti. We are humbled to have the support of so many joining us on this new venture. We are constantly reminded of God’s provisions through the many who are partnering with us in Haiti.
We proudly and humbly go on your behalf to Haiti. Together, we will see what God does.
Bondye Beni-w (God bless you).
I continue to have the utmost respect for you two, but this post reminds me that I am part of Team Haiti … a team I am proud to be a part of.
Yes Joe you are! And we can’t thank people enough for all the loving support!
